Boing, splat, pink.
I spent two weeks trying to do that final giant weed before one puts the garden to bed for the winter. I tore up weeds by the bushelfull, cut down trees, made piles of brush, jumped up and down on my piles of brush to smash them flat-- and then got a sudden stomach virus that laid me flat out for four days. It was the contrast that was really amazing, going from {boing, boing, boing, whack, whack, whack, rrrrrraaaaaarrrrr! hack, hack, hack, BOING! wheee!} to {splat! BLARG! thud!}. I'm sorta better, as in I now actually have the energy to wash AND condition my hair, but standing up for a long time strikes me as 'hard' and I ate only a bite of my dinner. Poke, poke, poke. Be nice when this is over. I'd forgotten how truly glorious my usual boinginess is from the inside, it is that that rare that a virus ever gets me.

The science of girls who like pink.

And how we can actually be interested in choosing between 3 different shades of beige.

When you said "3 different shades of beige" and had an article pointing to my hometown newspaper, I was convinced it was about the US Presidential race.

I am not sure if that is funny or sad.

Ugh, I had that too - four days of hell. :( Glad it's over and the boing is back...

Oho, so it is going around here! This one seems particularly disgusting doesn't it? So you are completely re-boinged? Yay! I feel hopeful.

I had it back at the end of March - put me out for 4 days straight, and another week of building back the boing... but yes... now we're back in business

Hope you guys come right soon

I caught that virus too. It hit me suddenly as I went to pick my daughter up from school. So bad I had to sit down and try not to throw up. James picked us up and took us home. It was about 3 days before my stomach stopped hurting. Flu vaccination is looking really appealing now.

Oh, you had it too! Man, it was awful! So do you know, is this particular virus we all had actually related to the flu, or it the flu yet to come round? Gah!

I have no idea. It seems to be too short lived to be flu, just some fast acting virus I guess but damn what a nasty one! James and my daughter caught the same thing but it didn't make them quite as sick. I'm kinda worried that if that is just a passing virus then the flu this year will be even worse! So I'm covering my arse getting the flu vaccination today. Last year I caught so many viruses and colds I lost count. I always seem to get it worse than most people so I started taking Thompsons Immunofort this year and it seems to help lessen the impact.

...I think that's me. I'm always fussing because I can't get perfect matches for colours and people think I'm INSANE.

I envy your ability to colour match at all. Being colour blind I stuff that up a lot lol. It's quite frustrating to say something is a certain colour and have other people tell you that you're wrong and it's actually another colour, or worse looking at a colour and having absolutely no idea what it is or even what it is similar too argghh!

Hi there...random note from [info]orca_girl's friend that you met...

The Olde Linen & Collectables Fair is on again this year. Saturday 19 July, 9:30-2:00, St. David's Hall (Wesley Centre), $2 admission, mostly cash sales. It rocked last year! Quirky vintage linens galore...
